The AYP challenges of No Child Left Behind - to have all students reach proficiency in multiple subjects - are steep, but several overriding truths exist:

The technological world our students will live in demands a higher level of academic competency than ever before.
The push for higher academic achievement has continued unabated for two decades and is not going to go away.
